HR Generalist

Position Type:
Full-time, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Position Overview:
Hands-on executor supporting a 24/7 manufacturing operation. Owns recruitment, staffing vendors, attendance, training, orientation, and daily HR administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Run full-cycle recruitment for 40–60 concurrent hourly and salaried openings (postings, sourcing, screening, interviews, offers, background/drug screens)
- Manage staffing agency relationships: negotiate rates, monitor quality and fill ratios, track spend vs. budget, resolve issues
- Administer time & attendance system: daily clock-in verification, absence follow-up, point issuance, weekly/monthly reports
- Deliver weekly (and ad-hoc) new-hire orientation sessions covering policies, safety, benefits, and plant tour
- Schedule and track all mandatory training (OSHA, forklift, chemical handling, quality, annual refreshers); maintain audit-ready records
- Process promotions, transfers, rate changes, terminations; update HRIS and payroll
- Handle benefits enrollment and open-enrollment support; answer day-to-day employee questions
- Ensure 100% I-9/E-Verify compliance and maintain confidential personnel files
- Provide accurate payroll inputs (new hires, deductions, attendance adjustments)
- Support employee engagement events and internal communications
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of HR experience
- Proven high-volume hourly recruitment and staffing vendor management
- Direct experience with time & attendance systems and point-based policies
- Working knowledge of federal and Georgia employment law
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and follow-through
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
