Survey CAD Technician

Job Summary
DMC Associates, Inc. Land Surveyors is an independent land surveying firm located in Morris County, New Jersey. We are currently looking to expand our Computer Aided Drafting department and are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Technician.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in AutoCAD software (MAP3D 2020)
• Working knowledge of Carlson, a plus.
• Knowledge of land surveying operations and construction industry.
• Review of and plotting of deeds, filed maps and other recorded documents in order to generate plot plans from field data and records.
• Able to generate final survey maps which include ALTA/NSPS Surveys, Boundary and Topography Surveys.
• Work directly with field crew personnel to produce final documents
• Preparation and maintenance of Tax Assessment records.
• Research land records, deeds / maps
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback from team members or clients.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation throughout the drafting process.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Qualifications

• Candidate should be self-disciplined and able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to take resource information and supervisor instructions to efficiently complete tasks within designated budget.
• Adhere to company standards of care.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing individual tasks effectively.
• A background in engineering and/or land surveying is advantageous but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $35.00 per hour
