ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Training Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all training programs for our manufacturing and production teams, ensuring that employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their roles effectively. This role is crucial for ensuring our workforce has the knowledge and skills needed to operate safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 4 days onsite, 1 day being remote.
WAGE: Salary range for this position is $115,000 - $125,000 annually, subject to all required taxes and withholdings.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Program Development and Management:
- Design, create, and implement comprehensive training programs for new hires and current employees, including onboarding, technical skills, safety protocols, and quality control procedures.
- Utilize a variety of training methods, such as classroom instruction, on-the-job training, e-learning modules, and simulations.
- Continuously review and update training content to reflect new equipment, processes, and industry best practices.
- Needs Assessment and Strategy:
- Collaborate with department heads and conduct regular training needs assessments.
- Analyze performance data, incident reports, and production metrics to identify skill gaps and areas for improvement.
- Develop a long-term training strategy that aligns business goals for safety, quality, and productivity.
- Training Delivery and Facilitation:
- Lead and facilitate training sessions for individuals and groups.
- Train and certify supervisors and experienced operators to be effective on-the-job trainers.
- Monitor employee progress and effectiveness of training through assessments, feedback, and performance evaluations.
- Reporting and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation for all employees.
- Ensure all training materials and programs comply with company policies and external regulations, including OSHA and other relevant industry standards.
- Prepare regular reports on training activities, outcomes, and return on investment for senior management.
- Leadership and Communication:
- Champion a culture of continuous learning and professional development throughout the organization.
- Build strong relationships with employees at all levels to encourage open communication and feedback on training programs.

- Act as a key resource for questions regarding standard operating procedures and best practices.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Human Resources, Education, Manufacturing, or equivalent experience.
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification preferred
- Professional in Training Management (CPTM) preferred
- 5-7 years of experience in a training and development role
- Experience supporting a manufacturing environment preferred
- Proficiency in using training software and learning management systems (LMS)
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering effective training programs for a diverse workforce.
- Microsoft Office computer software applications at a medium to expert user level.
- Must be able to multi-task with ability to work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Acute attention to detail and excellent organizational skills required.
- Maintain discretion in working with confidential information and materials.
- A self-starter who is motivated and able to set and meet deadlines.
- Friendly, approachable demeanor with strong emphasis on customer service.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work environment is that of an office environment. This employee regularly works with office equipment, materials, chemicals, wet floors and with wet equipment when on the production floor. This employee work around high voltage, hot water, and steam
- Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Physical work including climbing stairs, etc.
- Willing to work in a various-temperature environment
- Ability to handle items weighting under 25lbs or may need to move objects safely and with proper body mechanics.
- Ability to frequently talk, hear, and smell
- Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus
