Job description:
The Service Manager oversees all aspects of the service department, ensuring efficient coordination, execution, and completion of all field service work. This role is responsible for managing field technicians, scheduling and prioritizing service tickets, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Service Manager acts as the primary liaison between the field technicians and office administrative staff to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
Operational Management
· Plan, schedule, and oversee daily field service operations, ensuring adherence to project timelines and Service Level Agreements
· Manage multiple priorities from various customers to ensure customer satisfaction
· Assign and monitor work orders, ensuring accurate documentation of all service activities.
· Coordinate resources, equipment, and materials to meet service demands across multiple sites or regions.
Team Leadership
· Lead, mentor, and support field service technicians; conduct regular performance reviews and identify training opportunities.
· Promote a positive, safety-oriented culture within the team.
· Manage technician scheduling, timekeeping, and travel logistics
Quality & Safety
· Ensure all service activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and OSHA safety requirements.
· Audit completed work for quality and adherence to technical specifications.
· Maintain service documentation and ensure accurate reporting of field findings.
Financial & Administrative
· Review and approve invoices, purchase orders, and work order closeouts.
· Support warranty claims, RMAs, and vendor communications as needed.
Qualifications
· 5+ years of experience in field service operations, technical service, or maintenance management.
· Proven leadership and team management experience.
· Strong understanding of scheduling systems, CRM, or field service management software.
· Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
· Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
Skills desired
· NEC/NFPA 70 Experience
· Electrical installation (208v/480v 3 phase)
· Photovoltaic Installation (3 phase and Ground mount)
· Low voltage installation
· DAS installation experience
Pay: $55, $72,000.00 per year
