Systems Engineer Senior

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Systems Engineer Senior, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the Army Network Command (NETCOM). You will play a crucial role in the operational support and internal project initiatives involving an Integrated Test Environment Facility Information Systems.

  • Performs continual maintenance and provides complex solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problems. Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects. Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology. May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.
  • You will be providing maintenance, support, and enhancements to the Citrix or VMWare environment. This includes management of infrastructure servers, appliances and updating all published business critical applications and virtual desktops.
  • Collaborate with the Federated Lab and other ADCNOMS Teams in support of the Lab mission.
  • Apply/implement IAVMs, STIGs, bug fixes, security patches/controls, and access controls across multiple platforms.
  • Your advanced knowledge of technologies such as CVAD, StoreFront, NetScaler, FAS, CA, Director, WEM, App Layering, Provisioning, VMWare, Windows/Citrix Profile Management, Windows Server OS, PowerShell, Active Directory, and Group Policies are critical to success in this role.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Systems Administrator Principal must have:

  • Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
  • Experience: 5+ years of related technical experience

  • Qualifications/Certifications: DoD M certification: IAT Level III

  • Technical skills: One or more of the following Certifications, VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization, Citrix Certified Associate - App Delivery and Security (CCA-AppDS), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or Red Hat / Linux.
  • Security clearance level: Secret
  • Role requirements: Work on customer site

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $80,750 - $109,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
