Overview
We are seeking a skilled Chief Engineer to join our team. The Chief Engineer shall supervise all engineering operations and mechanical maintenance of any building or structure within the jurisdiction of the engineering department. These duties shall be done in a safe and efficient manner.

Required Certifications

  • Universal EPA 608 CFC Certification required.
  • Cal Fire Type L Fire Pump Operators License required.
  • OHSA 10 Certification required.
  • OHSA 30 Certification is a PLUS
  • Building Operator Certification (BOC I & II)

Responsibilities

  • Manages operational accounts and assists in development of operating and capital budgets.
  • Assists in operation and maintenance issues, troubleshooting and problem solving as needed.
  • Recommends and implements improvements for preventative maintenance programs on an ongoing basis and develops/maintains effective building specific maintenance and safety procedures.
  • Attends TI meetings and oversees TI's Tenant Improvements construction and makes recommendations.
  • Able to read and understand construction drawings: Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing drawings
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Coordinates maintenance efforts with outside contractors, tenant finish personnel and technicians.
  • Oversees all building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC and electrical issues and stays current with industry and technology trends.
  • Maintains on-going communication with tenants, clients, owners, facility management team and vendors.
  • Develops specifications and solicits maintenance service contracts.
  • Responds to all emergency situations quickly.
  • Implements and administers inventory control programs and purchases parts and supplies.
  • Establishes and monitors programs to ensure compliance with applicable codes and governmental regulations.
  • Provides formal supervision to individual employees within operational area.
  • Prepares and delivers performance appraisals for staff.
  • Must demonstrate ability to operate EMS.
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Must be able to speak clearly and effectively before tenants or groups of employees.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62.00 per hour
