Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join our dynamic service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, diagnostics, and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced automotive systems, including electrical, powertrain, and ADAS technologies, in a professional environment dedicated to quality service and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on vehicles, including engine, transmission, electrical systems, and suspension components.
- Utilize schematics and automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and system inspections.
- Repair or replace mechanical parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed.
- Work on GM vehicles and diesel engines, ensuring all repairs meet manufacturer standards.
- Perform ADAS calibrations and wheel alignments to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
- Maintain detailed service records and complete auto estimating tasks efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and service recommendations.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working with automotive electrical systems and heavy machinery.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a solid understanding of automotive repair procedures.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
- Experience working with schematics, automotive diagnostics tools, and service manuals.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machines.
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration processes and GM vehicle repair is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
- Ability to interpret auto estimating software and perform maintenance efficiently.
- Prior experience working on automotive electrical systems and transmissions is desirable.
