About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to support a growing multifamily property portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, can operate independently, and understands the urgency of keeping units safe, functional, and rent-ready.

You will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance, unit turns, repairs, and responding to service requests across multiple properties.

Responsibilities

  • Complete work orders and maintenance requests in occupied and vacant units
  • Perform apartment turns (patch/paint, basic flooring, fixtures, appliances)
  • Troubleshoot and repair:
  • Plumbing (leaks, clogs, fixtures)
  • Electrical (outlets, switches, lighting – no high-voltage)
  • HVAC (basic diagnostics, filters, thermostats)
  • Coordinate with vendors for larger repairs when needed
  • Perform preventative maintenance and property inspections
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls when scheduled
  • Maintain clean, safe mechanical rooms and common areas
  • Communicate clearly with management and document completed work
  • Track materials used and alert management of supply needs

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of maintenance or handyman experience (multifamily preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, and basic HVAC
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Basic smartphone/computer skills (work orders, photos, communication)
  • Professional demeanor with tenants and vendors

Preferred (Not Required)

  • EPA Certification
  • Experience with unit turns and inspections
  • Familiarity with AppFolio or similar property management software
  • On-call or emergency maintenance experience

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour
