Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a restaurant setting and a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation and menu planning, ensuring that each dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
- Collaborate with the dietary department to plan menus that cater to various dietary needs.
- Ensure all food handling and safety procedures are strictly followed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation, ensuring precision and safety.
- Assist in the training of new kitchen staff as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as necessary.
- Participate in special events or catering opportunities as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
- Experience in menu planning and dietary aide responsibilities is a plus.
- Strong meal preparation skills with attention to detail in presentation.
