SUSHI CHEF (TRAINING PROVIDED) – SAii SUSHI BAR

SAii Sushi Bar is looking for a dependable, motivated, and team-oriented Sushi Chef to join our kitchen. We provide training, and this role is perfect for someone who has a positive attitude, is willing to learn, and has at least some experience working in a restaurant environment.

Job Responsibilities

Sushi Preparation & Production

• Learn and prepare sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and appetizers following SAii's quality standards
• Maintain consistency, proper portioning, and clean presentation
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times

Back-of-House Support

• Assist kitchen team with daily prep tasks such as cutting vegetables, portioning fish, making sauces, stocking ingredients, etc.
• Wash dishes and help keep the kitchen clean and organized when needed
• Restock station and ensure all items are ready for service

Teamwork & Restaurant Operations

• Communicate effectively with front and back of house
• Stay calm and efficient during busy hours
• Follow opening and closing procedures
• Maintain a positive, respectful attitude with the team and guests

Schedule

• Weekdays: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Weekends: 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Weekend availability required

Ideal Candidate

• Has some restaurant experience (sushi experience is a plus but NOT required)
• Willing to learn sushi techniques and improve skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Able to follow directions and maintain a clean workstation
• Works well in a team and can handle fast-paced environments
