- Lead & Support: Oversee daily operations in 2–3 stores, acting as a trusted partner to Store Managers.
- Team Development: Mentor and motivate employees, ensuring they follow selling techniques and maintain product knowledge.
- Operations Management: Handle merchandising, inventory, ordering, receiving deliveries, and maintaining store standards.
- Grooming Oversight: Manage grooming schedules and team in Chester and Livingston locations.
- Community Engagement: Organize and participate in store events and local outreach marketing.
- Analytics & Reporting: Use Microsoft Excel and other tools to analyze sales and inventory, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
What We're Looking For
- Retail Leadership: Minimum 3 years of retail management experience; people management is a plus.
- Pet Passion: Love dogs (and ideally cats) with hands-on experience and knowledge of their needs.
- Sales Skills: Experience in consultative selling—or a strong desire to learn.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, POS systems, and basic computer applications.
- Physical Readiness: Ability to stand for up to 9 hours and lift 30 lb bags of dog food.
- Mindset: Positive, "can-do" attitude, sense of urgency, desire to help and be helpful, and commitment to doing the right thing.
- Stability: Minimum 2 years in previous roles and looking for a long-term opportunity.
- 42-45 hour work week for which you will be adequately compensated.
