Job Summary and Qualifications

Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist The role will be an outpatient speech-language pathologist position and an inpatient speech-language pathologist position. The outpatient position would consist of mainly feeding patients and would be the focus of this hire. The inpatient position would consist of NICU, Pediatrics, PICU, Hematology/Oncology, and inpatient/outpatient swallow studies. The speech language pathologist would need to have competence and interest in both outpatient and inpatient pediatric roles.

What you will do in this role:

• You will conduct a subjective assessment of assigned patient's speech language abilities during spontaneous conversation. You will administer objective tests to assesspatient'scommunication assets and liabilities.

• You will structure and implement individualized patientprogramto improve communication abilities.

• You will evaluatepatientregularly during treatment and adjustprogramas needed to maximize patient progress.

• You will document progress inpatient'schart. You will complete notes, charges, dischargenotesand patient communication.

• You will consult with Program Director and Rehab Physician/Medical Directorregardingpre-screen assessments and physician consultations to determineappropriate placementof potential patients.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within30 daysof employment start date

• MastersDegree
