Car Hauler Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Car Hauler Driver to operate tractor-trailers and transport vehicles efficiently and safely across designated routes. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in commercial driving, including route driving and load & unload operations, with a focus on delivering vehicles securely. This role requires a professional with a strong understanding of various trailer types, along with the ability to handle freight transportation safely and responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers, including manual transmission vehicles, across assigned routes.
• Load and unload vehicles or freight using appropriate equipment.
• Transport vehicles to various locations.
• Ensure proper securing of loads to prevent damage during transit.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance needs, and delivery documentation.
• Follow all federal and state transportation laws and safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates or issues encountered during transit.
• Assist with route planning to optimize delivery efficiency and safety.

Experience

• Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, and car hauler trucks.
• Delivery driver experience preferred, especially involving freight transportation and load & unload procedures.
• Familiarity with route driving across urban or rural areas.
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) class A with endorsements relevant to the vehicle types driven (e.g., Class A).
• Minimum Experience with CDL for 2 years is required.
• Ability to manage manual transmission vehicles efficiently. This role offers an opportunity for experienced drivers to showcase their skills in vehicle transport while ensuring safety and compliance at all times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $0.48 - $0.63 per mile
