Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide personalized product recommendations based on their preferences and needs
• Educate customers on product effects, consumption methods, and responsible use to promote informed decisions
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Conduct product demos and tastings where permitted, highlighting features and benefits of various products
• Maintain accurate inventory levels through stocking, merchandising, and regular stock checks
• Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations regarding sale and possession of cannabis products
• Upsell complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales volume
• Assist with daily store operations, including cleaning, organizing displays, and ensuring a welcoming environment

Skills

• Proven experience with retail sales, cashiering, or customer service roles in grocery stores or similar environments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product details clearly and confidently
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
• Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math for accurate transactions
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally over the phone
• Experience with merchandising, stocking, and inventory management to keep the store appealing and well-organized
• Ability to perform product demos confidently while adhering to legal guidelines
• Familiarity with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer trust
