We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and skill.
• Ensure all ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality, adhering to food safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and presentation.
• Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and communicate needs for restocking.
• Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain consistency in flavor and presentation.
• Stay updated on current food trends and techniques within the fine dining sector.
• Assist in catering events as needed, showcasing sushi as a highlight of the menu.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the food industry.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, including knife skills specific to sushi making.
• Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure kitchen environment while maintaining quality standards.
• Experience in fine dining or catering is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• A passion for Japanese cuisine and dedication to continuous learning in culinary arts.
