Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent chairside assisting skills, and familiarity with various dental software systems. The Dental Assistant will work closely with dentists and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
• Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety standards and HIPAA regulations.
• Manage patient records
• Provide chairside support during various procedures
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred, with a strong understanding of dental terminology and anatomy knowledge.
• Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix is preferred but willing to teach
• Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques is essential.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
