About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Civil Engineer Project Manager to support our Urban Development Practice in the Dallas–Fort Worth region. This role requires strong technical expertise, proven leadership, and the ability to guide business development, project delivery, and client relationships. The position will lead teams, engage directly with clients, and manage complex civil engineering projects.
Duties
* Prepare preliminary engineering reports
* Research jurisdictional requirements for design and construction documents
* Prepare proposals, contracts, work plans, and project schedules
* Develop design and construction drawings using AutoCAD
* Prepare GIS exhibits in ArcGIS
* Conduct site visits and document findings
* Direct staff with varied experience levels
* Lead client management and marketing efforts for future work
* Prepare meeting minutes, project correspondence, and presentation materials
* Lead kickoff calls, design calls, forecasting, and cost estimates
* Oversee teams of engineers and drafters
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and follow comprehensive Project Framework Instructions and work plans
* Assign the appropriate staff and ensure proper utilization
* Review project metrics, progress, and budget to ensure profitability and quality
* Maintain strong client relationships and support new business development
* Lead pursuits for new work, including SOQs and proposals
* Ensure compliance with QMS and quality standards
* Mentor, coach, and train junior staff
* Manage project delivery while maintaining high technical standards

Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
* Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas
* 8–10 years of civil engineering design experience
* Minimum 2 years of Project Manager experience
* Experience producing complete and accurate construction plans and reports
* Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD; Civil 3D is a plus
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project
* Ability to manage multiple projects independently
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work directly with clients and manage staff with varied experience levels
* Proven ability to train staff and perform QA/QC
* Strong leadership, problem-solving capabilities, and deadline management
* Highly organized and detail oriented
* Ability to handle increasing responsibilities
* Strong client communication skills and relationship-building ability
* Strong troubleshooting and solution implementation experience
