Job Summary: This job delivers complete solutions spanning all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). It involves advising management on project-level issues, guiding junior engineers, operating with little supervision, and applying knowledge of technical best practices. Your way to impact At PayPal, Full Stack Software Engineers are the architects of our global payment platform. You'll design, develop, and optimize core systems powering millions of transactions daily, delivering innovative solutions that delight customers and drive business success. Your day-to-day: As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will: * Architect and implement large-scale Full Stack solutions. * Mentor and develop engineering talent. * Drive technical excellence and best practices. What you need to bring: * Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. * 5+ years of Full Stack development experience. * Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and one modern frontend framework (React, Angular, Vue). * Experience in building large-scale applications * Exposure to SQL and NoSQL technologies * Good understanding of relational databases, including strong data architecture and SQL/PL-SQL development skills * Strong experience with microservices architecture. * Experience applying software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with GraphQL or similar API technologies. * Contributions to open-source projects. The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is: Primary Location | Pay Range: San Jose, California | ($$143,500-$212,850 Salary) Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.
