Overview
Business Data Analyst Starting Salary: c. £55,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications) Location: Norwich, York and London 12 Month Fixed Term Contract This is a great job for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys solving data‑related challenges, and is excited by the opportunity to shape and refine governance processes across a large-scale data integration programme. It would particularly suit someone with hands‑on experience in data governance or data protection, who is ready to step into a central, coordinating role that influences how data is managed across the organisation. Responsibilities
You’ll play a pivotal role in coordinating and operating our Data Governance and Data Protection (DGDP) processes for a major data integration programme. Acting as the single point of contact for DGDP queries, you’ll manage the full lifecycle of integration-related data requests, ensuring compliant, secure, and well‑governed sharing of data. You’ll run data request triage processes, maintain governance records, and support stakeholders through clear communication and documentation. You’ll also help to identify and resolve bottlenecks, optimise processes such as access request workflows, and ensure that governance controls are effectively and consistently applied across the programme. This role is critical to maintaining high standards of data integrity, traceability, and regulatory compliance across an evolving data ecosystem. Qualifications
Proven experience as a Business Data Analyst with a focus on data governance, data protection, or data management initiatives. Experience coordinating and triaging data requests, and working with multiple technical and business stakeholders. Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data lifecycle management, and relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, DPIA). Experience documenting business processes, data flows, and/or data integration approaches. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify bottlenecks and support process optimisation across complex workflows. What you’ll get
