We are hiring a Warehouse Technician in Portland, Oregon! This role is essential for maintaining the operational efficiency and integrity of our warehouse systems and equipment. As a Warehouse Technician, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, inventory management support, and ensuring the overall functionality of our logistics environment. A strong commitment to Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to adhere to all safety protocols and utilize appropriate PPE rigorously. This position may involve physical tasks, including occasional Lifting and maneuvering of equipment and supplies. Experience with warehouse machinery, basic mechanical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are highly valued. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment (e.g., conveyor belts, pallet wrappers, forklifts).
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the warehouse environment.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Manage spare parts inventory and order necessary supplies.
- Support logistics team with operational tasks as needed.
- Ensure all Safety procedures are followed and appropriate PPE is used.
- Document maintenance activities and equipment status.
- Maintain a clean and organized technical workspace.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a technical or maintenance role within a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Proficiency with troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment.
- Ability to perform occasional moderate Lifting and physical tasks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety standards and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
