Are you a meticulous laboratory professional with a passion for quality and compliance? Smart4Sciences is supporting a leading pharmaceutical organisation in recruiting QC Laboratory Analysts to join their expanding Quality Control team in Basildon, Essex. The Role This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the testing and release of critical medicines within a GMP‑regulated environment. As a QC Laboratory Analyst, you'll be responsible for carrying out high‑quality laboratory testing, maintaining accurate and compliant data, and supporting investigations such as OOS (Out of Specification) where required. You will play a key part in ensuring products meet regulatory standards and supporting the delivery of safe, effective medicines to patients. Key Responsibilities: Perform laboratory tests to generate reliable, accurate and compliant data Record test results clearly, permanently and in accordance with data integrity standards Participate in internal audits, self‑inspections and regulatory inspections Follow internal procedures and maintain strong working knowledge of EU GMP Contribute to the control, review and compliance of SOPs Plan and prioritise testing workloads under supervision Prepare samples, reagents and standards according to procedures Maintain laboratory areas in an audit‑ready condition Perform method validations and method transfers when required Operate and maintain standard laboratory equipment (e.g., titrators, pH meters) Assist the Quality team with documentation, investigations and validation activities Ensure data integrity is upheld in line with ACOLA+ guidelines Support KPI monitoring and general QC operations About You ✔ Experience working in a pharmaceutical, FMCG or other regulated environment ✔ Strong commitment to good housekeeping, accuracy and data integrity ✔ Flexible, proactive and willing to support team priorities ✔ Professional, punctual and able to follow procedures with precision ✔ Enthusiastic, committed and quality‑driven Qualifications: GCSEs (A-C or equivalent) in English, Maths and Science Ideally a Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy or related disciplineYou'll be joining a dedicated QC team within a business that values reliability, precision, and continuous improvement.
