1 year contract with the possibility of 4 years extension
Shift Schedule
- Day and evening shifts scheduled by Director of Radiology / Clinical Director
Shifts may be:
Up to 16 hours between 7:30 a.m.–12:00 a.m., or
Standard 8-hour shifts between 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Includes rotating on-call after scheduled shifts
- Minimum 6-hour rest period required before next shift
Shifts Per Month
Full-time schedule averaging 36–48 hours per week (mix of 8- and 16-hour shifts), plus on-call
License Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Radiologic Technologist license/certification from any U.S. state
Certifications Required
- RDMS – required
- BLS/CPR (ACLS acceptable)
- Additional certifications (vascular, breast, OB/GYN, DVT/RVT) preferred
Experience Needed
- Minimum 2 years of recent diagnostic ultrasound experience
- Rural or critical-access hospital experience preferred
- Experience working with tribal or underserved populations is a plus
Special Skills
- Competent in general, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound exams
- Ability to operate fixed and portable ultrasound equipment independently
- Strong understanding of ultrasound Quality Control procedures
- Ability to assist with emergencies (CPR, anaphylaxis response)
- Strong patient communication and cultural-sensitivity skills
- Familiarity with EHR systems (RPMS or similar)

Responsibilities
- Perform general, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound examinations
- Independently manage patient workflow and exam documentation
- Maintain daily quality control logs and ensure safe operation of ultrasound equipment
- Assist Radiologists and providers with specialized ultrasound procedures
- Provide accurate patient education and preparation instructions
- Respond to emergencies as needed within the scope of practice
- Participate in performance improvement activities and staff meetings
- Ensure compliance with IHS policies, HIPAA privacy, and safety standards

- Facility serves the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Tribe
- Must complete mandatory IHS Sexual Abuse Prevention Training
- Medical records remain the property of the Indian Health Service
- Government provides equipment, supplies, and facility access
