Position Overview
The Night Auditor oversees nightly front desk operations, completes daily financial balancing, ensures the safety of the property, and supports the hotel's overnight guest experience. This role requires strong attention to detail, confidence in independent decision‑making, and a commitment to exceptional service.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service & Front Desk Operations
- Provide friendly, efficient, and professional service to all guests.
- Manage check‑ins, check‑outs, reservations, and guest inquiries.
- Resolve guest concerns at first contact — management empowers associates to take ownership and create solutions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby area.
Night Audit & Accounting Duties
- Balance and reconcile daily hotel transactions and revenue.
- Verify and post charges, payments, and adjustments.
- Prepare and distribute nightly audit reports for management review.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with Marriott brand standards.
Safety & Security
- Conduct routine property walks to ensure all entrances, exits, and public areas remain secure.
- Monitor security cameras and access points to protect guests and team members.
- Respond promptly to safety concerns, alarms, or unusual activity.
- Serve as the overnight point of contact for emergency procedures.
Market & Inventory Responsibilities
- Monitor and restock the hotel market (pantry) to ensure proper inventory levels.
- Organize, label, and rotate products to maintain presentation and freshness.
- Communicate low‑stock needs to management.
Sales & Revenue Responsibilities
- Maximize room sales during the overnight shift by identifying opportunities to upsell and optimize occupancy.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with nearby hotels to solicit overflow business during high‑demand periods.
- Stay aware of local demand patterns, availability, and rate strategies to support revenue goals.
Operational Support
- Assist with light cleaning or lobby upkeep to maintain brand standards.
- Support breakfast area setup tasks as needed for the morning shift.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel front desk or night audit experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort with basic accounting tasks.
- Ability to work independently and remain alert throughout the overnight shift.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and guest‑service skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks.

Pay: $ $17.00 per hour
