Non-Commercial Driver's License Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Non CDL Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have delivery driving experience in box trucks. This role involves transporting mattresses and box springs efficiently and safely while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service are essential for success in this position. Must be able to deliver to neighboring states and overnight stays min 25% of the time

Responsibilities

• Operate box trucks, for the delivery of goods. Tailgate service to furniture, mattress and commercial customers.
• Ensure timely transportation of freight while following designated routes.
• Load and unload cargo weighing up to 70 lbs or more, not to exceed 150 lbs using manual methods.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery schedules, and vehicle maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that arise.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
• Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including moving materials and organizing inventory.

Requirements

• Valid Class "C" driver's license minimum with appropriate endorsements for vehicle type.(Have or obtain a DOT Physical Card) Safe driving record with minimal moving violations in the last 3 years.
• Proven experience in driving, delivery driver roles, or similar positions.
• Mechanical knowledge of vehicles is preferred; ability to perform basic maintenance tasks is a plus.
• Familiarity with route driving and freight handling procedures.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.(bilingual English and Spanish is preferred, but not required)
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
