Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in infants.
- Provide attentive care that meets each infant's individual needs, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and health monitoring.
- Create a safe and nurturing environment by maintaining cleanliness, safety protocols, and classroom organization aligned with licensing standards.
- Engage with infants through interactive activities such as singing, reading, tummy time, and sensory play to stimulate development.
- Observe and document each child's progress, behaviors, and milestones to communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently while fostering independence and positive behavior management strategies.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and caregivers to ensure consistent care practices and share insights about each child's growth.
- Stay current on best practices in early childhood education, including first aid procedures and special education techniques for children with disabilities or developmental delays.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions focused on childhood development, classroom management, and caregiving techniques to enhance your skills.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with infants or in early childhood education settings such as daycare or preschool environments.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in infant care.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills combined with the ability to nurture positive behavior through effective caregiving strategies.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and team members clearly and compassionately.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment dedicated to high-quality childcare standards.
- Experience with behavior management techniques tailored for infants is highly desirable.
- Flexibility to adapt routines based on individual child needs while maintaining a structured learning environment.
