PURPOSE: As a Case Manager, you will provide trauma informed services to survivors of domestic violence by supporting the mission, vision and values of the Family Justice Center of Georgetown & Horry Counties.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
- Complete in-person and phone assessments to determine the victim's level of danger, assist clients with safety plan development, decision making, and determine appropriate referrals and resources
- Work closely with other FJC Case Managers, Court Advocates, Counselors, and Shelter Coordinator to manage client services.
- Participate in staff team meetings, monthly full staff meetings, trainings and other meetings at needed.
- Serve as the liaison with Horry County Department of Social Services
- Complete monthly reports for FJC and outside agencies and maintain the agency electronic medical record system
- Maintain a positive, collaborative relationship with FJC partner agencies and resources and maintain an up-to-date data base of these resources.
- Provide information and/or refer clients to outside resources to assist with client goals and objectives.
- Maintain strict client confidentiality and practice a client-centered approach that is trauma informed.
- Enter all client-related information and documents into FJC's EMR while maintaining client record compliances.
- Must obtain and maintain VSP (victim's advocacy through the SC Governor's office) & CPR certification.
- Preform other duties as assigned by Program Director and Executive Director.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human services or related fields or a minimum of an associate's degree in a related field combined with 2-3 years' experience in crisis intervention, domestic violence or related human service field with knowledge of utilizing trauma informed care
- Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills with the ability to work both independently and in coordinated team setting
- Strong analytical skills to problem solve, make decisions, provide crisis intervention etc.
- Commitment to respecting individual differences, self-determination, and serving a diverse population
- Willingness to follow supervisory directions and attend trainings, staff meetings and professional trainings, (travel may be required)
- Willingness to work alternate schedule when deemed necessary by supervisor
- SC Driver's License with good driving record
- VSP Certification through the SC Governor's Office
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40, $45,000.00 per year
