Professional Driver

About the Role

We are a small, family-owned business looking for a reliable, professional driver to join our ohana. Unlike our tour guide roles, this position focuses on high-quality transportation logistics. You will be responsible for airport pickups/drop-offs, group transfers, and "driver-for-hire" gigs where guests simply need a safe and professional way to get around the Big Island.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe Transportation: Provide comfortable and safe transport for guests in Mercedes Sprinter company vehicles.
• Punctual Pickups: Monitor flight times and guest schedules to ensure you are on-site and ready 15 minutes before the scheduled pickup / flight arrival.
• Baggage Assistance: Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage with care.
• Professional Conduct: Maintain a clean, professional appearance and provide a welcoming first impression of the Big Island.
• Vehicle Care: Ensure the vehicle is clean, fueled, and ready for guests before every shift.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Reliability: You must be someone we can count on. Punctuality is the most important part of this job.
• Driving Record: A valid Hawaii Driver's License and a clean driving abstract are required.
• Big Island Knowledge: Familiarity with island roads, airport logistics, and major resorts/hotels.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (luggage) and sit/drive for several hours at a time.
• Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with our team regarding pickup status when needed.

Compensation & Perks

• Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour (depending on experience).
• Tips: You keep 100% of guest tips.
• Flexibility: This is an on-call, casual role. Great for someone looking for supplemental income with a flexible schedule.
