Job Summary
Florida Certified Contractors, LLC has one (1) Site Supervisor-Commercial Renovation position to fill, covering the NE Florida area. Not everyone will qualify so please read the requirements carefully.
As a Site Supervisor, you'll be responsible for oversight of construction, installation, and labor on jobs. This role typically works on one job at a time. Multiple jobs may be assigned periodically, as needed. Success in the role requires knowledge and experience of construction means and methods to be effective. Our jobs include:
- Exterior wood-framed building restoration
- Exterior concrete restoration (high-rises)
- Exterior water-proofing coatings and sealants
- Interior hospitality improvements
You are an ideal candidate if:
You live within 50min of St Augustine, FL, or are willing to relocate
you have 10+ years experience working on a commercial construction site
You have 4+ years leading construction crews
You are always the most organized person in the room and on-site
Key responsibilities include:
Project Execution and Construction:
Follow project schedules as laid out by the PM, Engineer, etc. We aware of any Plan B" alternatives
- Track and communicate progress against the schedule daily
- Study and know all jobsite plans and specifications
- Complete all paperwork
- Think ahead of the current work being done, and "make ready" for the next phases or sections, typically the next 5-10 days in detail
Produce works as needed
Onsite Team Management:
Monitor pace and quality of the work daily
- Lead daily work huddles to review progress, assign tasks, and communicate all needed information
- Make sure that work assigned follows the schedule and keeps the job on track
- Prevent and correct work that takes the project off-track
Work to address conflicts within teams and subcontractors, reporting up to the PM
Communication
Establish lines of communication with the PM
- Promptly answer emails and phone calls
- Take Daily pictures of jobsite and progress, using CompanyCam
- Communicate regularly with PM's about underperforming crews or individuals
Attend all Supervisor Meetings
Construction Means and Methods
Experience with understanding data sheets and reading plans
- Know and enforce proper installation
Know and enforce proper site access, rigging, and safety
Purchasing:
In planning ahead, make necessary purchases, typically 1-7days ahead. Longer lead times should be discussed with the PM
- Prepared orders ahead of time, to keep project moving
- Manage vendor and subcontractors, for timely and accurate deliveries
Approve all purchase invoices in a timely manner, daily
Change Orders:
Alert the PM to needed change orders ahead of time
Safety Oversight:
Enforce safety standards throughout the project
Coordinate audits or inspections to ensure ongoing compliance
Continuous Improvement:
Constantly look for ways to eliminate waste and improve productivity
- Make suggestions known regularly
- Be looking for ways to grow and learn
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65, $75,000.00 per year
