RFP Machine Operator

Summary

Operate the Roll Form Punch Bradbury machine to safely and accurately produce roll-formed components according to work orders, blueprints, and quality standards. This position is responsible for assisting in the setup, operation, and basic maintenance of the machine while ensuring consistent part quality, adherence to production schedules, and compliance with all company safety policies. 

Essential Functions

• Operate the roll form punch bradbury machine and associated equipment per established work instructions and safety standards. 
• Monitor machine operation to ensure proper forming and cutting of products. 
• Check setup dimensions and part quality using measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, gauges)
• Identify and report any product defects, mechanical issues, or irregular machine behavior to the supervisor or maintenance team. 
• Accurately record production counts, coil suage, scrap, and downtime as required. 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. 
• Assist with routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubrication, and roller inspection. 
• Support adjustments, and alignment under supervision. 
• Follow all PPE regulations. 
• Communicate effectively with production, quality, and material handling teams to maintain steady workflow. 
• Perform additional job duties and responsibilities as assigned based on business needs. 

Education and Training Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required. 
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and roll forming processes is a plus. 

Work experience requirements

• At least 6 months of experience in manufacturing or industrial environment preferred. 
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and measuring tools. 
• Forklift experience and willingness to become certified preferred. 
• Must follow all safety rules and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Lift up to 50 lbs at waist level and up to 30 lbs at shoulder level on an occasional basis; lift up to 75 lbs at waist level on a rare basis. 
• Push or pull with up to 75 lbs of force on an occasional basis. 
• Generate up to 75 lbs of grip strength and 15 lbs of pinch strength occasionally with each hand. 
• Perform elevated work and stoop, kneel, or squat occasionally. 
• Stand continuously and walk frequently throughout the shift. 
• Perform repetitive motions for up to 12 hours a day. 
• Work in areas with varying temperatures, noise levels, and moving mechanical equipment.
