Duties

• Assist with menu planning and meal preparation to ensure timely and quality service
• Support dietary department operations by maintaining accurate records and inventory management
• Prepare ingredients and assist in cooking activities, utilizing knife skills and culinary techniques
• Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation standards
• Serve meals to residents or customers with professionalism and friendly service
• Support catering events or special dining occasions, ensuring all food presentation meets high standards
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment, adhering to food safety regulations

Requirements

• Previous experience in dietary services, dietary aide roles, or the food industry is highly preferred
• Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
• Experience in fine dining or restaurant environments is a plus
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation and food handling
• Familiarity with catering, serving, and general kitchen operations
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely
