Job Summary

The Inventory Assistant supports Polar Shades' manufacturing operations by ensuring raw materials, components, and finished goods are accurately received, stored, tracked, and issued to production. This role is essential to maintaining material flow, inventory accuracy, and on-time production.

Key Responsibilities

· Receive and inspect incoming raw materials, components, and finished goods

· Verify shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and internal documentation

· Accurately label, store, and organize inventory according to Polar Shades standards

· Issue and stage materials for production based on work orders and schedules

· Maintain accurate inventory records in Polar Shades' inventory/ERP systems

· Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits

· Identify and report inventory discrepancies, shortages, or damaged materials

· Support production efficiency by keeping inventory areas clean, organized, and production-ready

· Follow Polar Shades safety, quality, and 5S standards at all times

· Collaborate with production, purchasing, quality, and warehouse teams

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent required

· Previous experience in manufacturing, inventory control, or warehouse operations preferred

· Familiarity with inventory or ERP systems is a plus

· Basic computer and data entry skills

· Ability to read part numbers, work orders, and material specifications

Physical Requirements

· Ability to lift and move up to 80 lbs

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Work Schedule

Full-Time Monday thru Friday 8 am – 4:30 pm

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive hourly wage based on experience. Benefits may include health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for growth within Polar Shades' manufacturing operations.

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
