Middle School Science Teacher

Santa Fe Christian Schools is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Science Teacher for the school year. The ideal candidate will have the desire to connect with students and the ability to excite them about middle school Science.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a curriculum and lesson plans that will foster knowledge and skills essential to teaching students in the Middle School grades effectively
• Create hands-on, inquiry-based, project-based lessons that build excitement for literature
• Demonstrate concepts using models, technology, and other standard or teacher-prepared instructional aids
• Evaluate each student's progress in their knowledge of science
• Communicate with parents to discuss the individual student's progress

Spiritual Requirements:

• Model a growing and vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ
• Demonstrate biblical maturity and serve as a Christian role model
• Maintains active participation in an evangelical church

Professional Requirements:

• Bachelor's and/or master's degree in Science
• Minimum of three years of teaching experience at the upper Elementary or Middle School level
• Interest in contributing to the school community outside of the classroom as an athletic coach, student advisor, student club leader, or otherwise preferred
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
