Job Summary
Gibson Air Mechanical is seeking an experienced HVAC/R Service Manager to oversee and coordinate HVAC service operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, field service expertise, and leadership skills to ensure efficient delivery of HVAC/R repair services. This role involves managing a team of technicians, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining customer satisfaction through technical excellence and effective service management.

Duties

  • Manage day to day operations of all reporting HVAC Service Technicians.
  • Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units and other mechanical equipment.
  • Communicates daily with office coordinators, reporting on project information about equipment, estimated time to complete jobs, labor hours, and parts used.
  • Works closely with the office coordinators to assure that the manpower is being scheduled properly by skill level and efficiency and training requirements. Ensures coordinators produce customer invoices in a timely manner.
  • Checks HVAC technician work assignments, job completion status, scheduling, and customer quotes.
  • Makes sure that required parts are ordered without delay to ensure work deadlines are met.
  • Review daily service tickets and assure that repair quotes are submitted to the customer quickly and accurately by coordinators and are billed out correctly.
  • Review schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical drawings to guide installation and troubleshooting processes.
  • Coordinate field service activities for property maintenance and equipment repair
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations.
  • Conduct regular training sessions on equipment repair, welding techniques, use of tools like ohmmeters, and maintenance procedures.
  • Three years HVAC Management related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Manage inventory of parts and tools necessary for service operations.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of service activities, repairs performed, and system diagnostics.
  • Develop schedules for preventive maintenance to optimize system performance and longevity.
  • Ensures currency of all HVAC technicians' ability to train customers and contractors on proper operation of installed equipment.
  • Answers technical questions from all Service Technicians. Presents self as a senior representative of the company
