Auto Body Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will have experience in auto body repair, auto painting, and related mechanical skills. This role involves restoring vehicles to their original condition, performing repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality workmanship. Prior dealership experience and proficiency with various tools and techniques are highly valued.

Duties

• Repair and restore vehicle bodies using auto body repair techniques, including sheet metal work and auto glass replacement
• Perform sanding, priming, painting, and finishing using airless paint spraying and other painting methods
• Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and other welding techniques for fabricating and repairing vehicle components
• Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as mechanical repairs, assembly, and detailing to ensure optimal vehicle condition
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment efficiently and safely
• Assist with auto restoration projects, including heavy lifting and working with sheet metal and automotive parts
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Complete auto estimating tasks accurately for repair costs and timelines

Skills

• Proven dealership experience or extensive background in auto body repair is preferred
• Proficiency with MIG welding, welding, soldering, and fabrication techniques
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair, vehicle maintenance, and auto restoration
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and auto body equipment such as airless paint sprayers
• Experience with auto painting, auto glass replacement, and detailing is highly desirable
• Knowledge of sheet metal work, auto estimating, and vehicle assembly processes
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
• Automotive repair experience including mechanic skills is a plus
