Occupational Therapist (Pediatric) – Flexible Schedule, Fee-for-Service

Strong Roots Pediatric Therapy and Wellness is growing and looking for a motivated Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to be among the first clinicians in a developing practice and have a real voice in shaping systems, schedules, and clinical flow. Our goal is to reduce administrative burden so therapists can spend their energy where it matters most—supporting children and families.
About the Role:
As an OT at Strong Roots, you will provide therapy to children approximately ages 2–6+ with a range of needs including:
- Sensory processing
- Fine and visual motor skills
- Self-care and daily living skills
- Developmental delays
Therapy services are delivered in natural and clinical environments, including:
- Homes
- Daycares and preschools
- In-office sessions at our Greece, NY location
You'll provide individual and small group therapy, using play-based, functional, and developmentally appropriate approaches that support each child's IEP goals and real-life participation.
Schedule & Calendar:
- Schedule aligns with the school district calendar
- Includes participation in a 6-week Extended School Year (ESY) program during summer
- Flexible caseload size based on your availability and goals
Documentation Expectations:
Therapists are responsible for completing:
- Daily session notes
- Quarterly progress reports
- Annual reviews
- Other documentation to support caseload
Efficient systems and templates are in place to simplify documentation.
Compensation Model:
This is a fee-for-service position:
- Paid per session completed
- No clocking in or out
- Full control over your schedule outside of direct therapy time
- Your caseload size directly determines your income, allowing you to scale up or down as desired

Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Licensed in New York State as an Occupational Therapist
- At least 2 years of experience in pediatric therapy is preferred
- Valid NYS Driver's License
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Adaptable and open to evolving workflows, with a willingness to pivot as procedures and practice needs change.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills, including the ability to independently handle schedule changes, cancellations, and rescheduled sessions.
