Veterinary Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our compassionate veterinary team. This role is vital in supporting veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing exceptional animal care. Duties

• Assist with animal restraint during examinations, treatments, and procedures to ensure safety for both animals and staff
• Support veterinary technicians with laboratory tests, sample collection, and processing
• Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of surgical and treatment areas using aseptic techniques
• Handle pet care activities including feeding, bathing, grooming, and monitoring behavior
• Assist with animal husbandry tasks including feeding, cleaning kennels, and ensuring proper animal housing conditions
• Handle dog handling and other species-specific animal care tasks with confidence and professionalism
• Maintain detailed records of treatments, medications administered, and patient progress

Experience

• Prior kennel experience or pet care experience preferred but not required
• Veterinary clinic or veterinary assistant experience highly desirable
• Strong background in animal husbandry, pet care, and animal handling desired for this role
