Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychotherapy and counseling services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, manage crises, and achieve personal growth through evidence-based practices. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies or behavioral crises.
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with client needs, incorporating techniques like motivational interviewing, behavioral management, and social work principles.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations while ensuring accuracy in medical terminology and coding for billing purposes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, medical professionals, educators, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Engage in clinical research activities when applicable to stay current with emerging therapies and best practices in behavioral health.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in outpatient or inpatient settings within behavioral health or mental health clinics.
- Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, grief counseling, PTSD care, addiction counseling, and gender issues counseling.
- Hands-on experience with crisis management, behavior management techniques, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
- Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnosis documentation and billing processes.
- Experience providing telehealth services using secure platforms to deliver remote patient care effectively.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health conditions and familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards for patient privacy.
- Background in working within clinical research environments or conducting data collection related to mental health outcomes is a plus. Pay: $61, $73,560.88 per year
