Key Responsibilities
Quality Inspection
- Perform physical inspections and functional testing on all inbound shipments of toys and tech accessories using AQL sampling methods.
- Verify that physical goods cross-reference against approved gold samples and technical specifications.
- Review certificate of analysis (COA) and test reports from overseas factories to ensure materials are safe and non-toxic.
Logistics & Warehouse Operations
- Shipment Oversight: Manage the end-to-end process for incoming and outgoing containers, including final sign-off on shipment accuracy.
- Labor Coordination: Supervise and work alongside team members or temporary staff to unload/load pallets from containers and organize floor space for incoming inspections.
- Inventory Integrity: Ensure all products are handled safely during the unloading process to prevent "in-transit" damage.
Returns Management & Root Cause Analysis (RMA Management)
- Manage returned merchandise by categorizing stock into sellable and unsellable conditions.
- Conduct root cause analysis to pinpoint failure origins
- Control and track non-conforming items within the quarantine ("Red Tag") area.
- Work with Production and Customer Service to track recurring defects and deliver clear, actionable feedback to international manufacturers.
Regulatory Compliance & Safety
- Standards Maintenance: Stay current on global safety standards, including ASTM F963, EN71, FCC, RoHS, and CE.
- Audit Readiness: Organize and maintain technical files for safety audits and ensure product labeling (age grading, warning icons) meets legal requirements.
- Post-Market Surveillance: Monitor return trends for safety patterns and escalate critical issues for potential recall or field-action review.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years in Quality Control, Supply Chain, or Warehouse Management, specifically within consumer electronics or toys.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong familiarity with consumer product safety regulations (CPSC/CPSIA is a major plus).
- Technical Savvy: Comfortable testing electronics (Bluetooth, power management) and using basic diagnostic tools.
- Analytical Mindset: A "detective" approach to spotting defects and a commitment to "Root Cause, Corrective Action" (RCCA) principles.
- Communication: Ability to draft professional defect reports and communicate technical requirements to overseas vendors and non-technical teams.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate a pallet jack.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods during container unloading.
