Position Overview

As a Financial Systems & Operations Analyst at usCalibration Incorporated your job is to raise the bar and help modernize and transform our company and its financial processes and systems. Your responsibility is to achieve operational excellence using your business knowledge, analytical skills, collaboration, and leadership. Utilize tech-enabled solutions, a data driven approach, and good project management to achieve desired outcomes. You will conceptualize solutions and implement changes for the design, development, and maintenance of various administrative systems. You should be passionate about business process optimization and driven to implement solutions that enhance operational quality and efficiency.

Over time, depending on interest and strengths, as well as company needs, your role may evolve into leadership through a combination of project management, supervision, management, or otherwise.

Key Responsibilities

Work with experienced administrative staff and managers to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Modernize the company's financial and accounting systems, processes, and platforms.
  • Analyze financial data to support budgeting, reporting, and forecasting with increasing leadership.
  • Collaborate on operational improvement projects within Finance and Accounting, as well as across departments.
  • Perform comprehensive analyses and develop innovative solutions to business questions based on knowledge and research of best practices.
  • Assess, adjust, and create new processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and quality, reduce costs, as well as ensure best practices within the administrative department and as central audit and oversight across the organization to assure all practices conform to best practices from the accounting and finance perspectives.
  • Develop business requirements for software solutions to automate and improve processes.
  • Continuously evaluate banking relationships, technologies, and products and recommend adjustments to align with current and future needs.
  • Support core operations of the department. This may include responsibilities in accounts receivable, accounts payable, month-end close, payroll, budgeting, tax planning, and financial reporting.
  • Provide support leading up to and throughout audits from various insurance and government bodies.
  • Help design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports for leadership in conjunction with the Business Data Analytics team.
  • Maintain current knowledge of accounting practices and standards.
  • Evaluate documentation processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Proactively capture opportunities for business growth and improvements to customer and employee experience.
  • Take increasing leadership over all functional areas above as experience is gained.
  • Learn various roles and provide coverage for staff in administrative functions as needed during vacations and time off.
  • Depending upon skills, interest, and business needs, may drive projects or tasks to support other related groups, such as Human Resources, Business Data Analytics, Business Analysis, or otherwise.

Requirements/Qualifications

Work Experience

  • 3-5+ years of relevant accounting or financial operations experience with progressive responsibility and exhibited leadership.
  • Exposure to FP&A, accounting, and/or operational finance.
  • Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems.
  • Experience working with customers is preferred but not required.

Education

  • MBA or relevant Master's degree (finance, accounting, or related concentration and/or undergraduate degree preferred)
  • 3.7 GPA or higher (indicate on resume).

  • Experience in a fast‑paced or growth‑stage environment preferred.
  • Ability to pass a drug test, background check, and skills tests.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Valid Driver's License
