Diesel Mechanic

Our team is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to address preventative and reactive maintenance on our local dump truck fleet (100% Peterbilt triaxles). In this role, the successful candidate will perform repairs and maintenance in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles, and collaborate with other mechanics. Hourly pay is commensurate with experience.

Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities Include:

• Perform repairs on trucks and trailers
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance on trucks, including tire mounting/rotations, oil changes and greasing
• Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the shop
• Collaborate with other mechanics to diagnose problems and plan repairs
• Maintain accurate work orders for each repair performed on vehicles

Diesel Mechanics Must Have:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to pass a drug test
• Ability to work M-F and some Saturdays
• Ability to use Cummins Insite and Cat ET to diagnose and troubleshoot fault codes
• Their own tools

Nice to have but not required:

• Valid CDL license
• Welding experience
• State Inspection License
