Job Overview
Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an Assistant Twos Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help nurture the developmental milestones of toddlers aged two years old. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and enriching classroom environment that promotes early literacy, math skills, social-emotional growth, and foundational classroom routines. Duties

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards such as Montessori or other preschool frameworks
  • Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and structured environment conducive to learning and development
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities that foster literacy, numeracy, motor skills, and social interaction
  • Help with child supervision during activities, meals, nap times, and transitions to ensure safety at all times
  • Support individualized learning plans for children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism or behavioral challenges
  • Maintain clean and organized classroom spaces, including educational materials and toys
  • Communicate effectively with parents and team members about children's progress and needs

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices in childcare and classroom management
  • Familiarity with special education strategies and working with children with disabilities or behavioral needs
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families
  • Ability to assist in lesson planning focused on literacy education, math fundamentals, and overall curriculum development
  • Experience caring for toddlers or infants within a daycare or preschool environment
  • Understanding of Montessori methods or other early childhood educational philosophies is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior positively while fostering independence and curiosity
  • Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to obtain required certifications upon hire
