1st Shift is 5:30am - 4:00pm, Mon-Thurs

Summary: The Reliability & Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the reliability and performance of equipment and its assigned line; contributing to increased efficiency, reduced downtime, and improved productivity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
  • Repair and replace faulty components, including motors, drives, bearings, sensors, and other mechanical and electrical parts.
  • Conduct inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders, maintenance activities, and equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance and operations team members to develop and implement reliability improvement plans.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide feedback to enhance maintenance processes and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including parts used, time spent, and work completed.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems as needed.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in a related field is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in maintenance, reliability, process improvement or a related field.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Knowledge of packaging equipment and machinery preferred.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes and procedures preferred.
