Janitorial Worker

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
• Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance
• Handle industrial cleaning tasks including the use of specialized tools for heavy-duty sanitation and maintenance
• Assist with custodial responsibilities like trash removal, restocking supplies, and disinfecting surfaces regularly
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for lighting, plumbing, or structural issues
• Maintain cleanliness standards during shift changes and ensure all cleaning protocols are followed efficiently
• Utilize janitorial experience to adapt cleaning techniques based on different environments such as commercial or residential spaces

Qualifications

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and safety protocols
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors
• Experience with commercial cleaning equipment and industrial cleaning methods preferred
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery safely
• Basic understanding of facilities maintenance tasks is a plus
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
• Reliable work ethic with a positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team
