Cashier/Baker

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cashier/Baker to join our bakery team. This role combines customer service with hands-on baking and food preparation, offering an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about the food industry. Duties

• Operate cash register efficiently, handle transactions accurately, and provide friendly customer service
• Prepare baked goods including cakes, pastries, and bread, adhering to recipes and quality standards
• Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic designs to meet customer specifications
• Package baked items securely for sale or catering orders
• Assist in food production and food preparation tasks within the kitchen area
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace in compliance with food safety standards
• Restock display cases and storage areas as needed to ensure product availability
• Support catering events by preparing baked goods and assisting with setup as required
• Follow all food handling and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers

Requirements

• Previous experience in baking, pastry arts, or culinary roles within the food industry is preferred
• Strong cake decorating skills and proficiency in food presentation techniques
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Experience with packaging baked goods for retail or catering purposes
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Kitchen experience including food preparation, cooking, or restaurant work is advantageous
• Familiarity with knife skills, baking techniques, and general culinary practices
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed during shifts
