Gatwick / Hybrid Do you have customer service experience and are you confident talking to people at all levels? Are you a driven and curious individual looking to get into the world of events sales, or do you already have some sales experience and want a sector change? If so, apply now, as we are offering a unique opportunity to learn from the best in this Exhibitions Sales Executive role. This role will attract commission on top of the basic salary. Motivated by customer satisfaction and building strong relationships, you will uncover opportunities and drive commercial growth and play a pivotal role in expanding our client base across the exciting food and drink exhibitions sector. In this entry level role, you’ll learn how to manage the full sales cycle, from generating leads to closing deals. You’ll work closely with prospects to understand their challenges, showcasing how our exhibitions can support their goals and create compelling proposals that deliver real value. If you’re driven, proactive, confident on the phone and in person, great at building rapport and strong relationships, this is an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact. There is also the opportunity for national travel to attend some exciting leading events.
Responsibilities
Motivated by customer satisfaction and building strong relationships, you will: Uncover opportunities and drive commercial growth across the exhibitions sector. Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals. Understand client challenges and tailor proposals that deliver value. Build rapport and strong relationships with prospects and clients. Collaborate with internal teams to support the sales process.
Requirements
What you’ll need: Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to speak to people at all levels. The ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. Great listening skills and an ability to ask the right questions and really understand our client’s challenges so you can interpret this and offer the right solutions effectively. An ability to learn our exhibitions offerings, our systems and processes quickly. A willingness to cold call and prospect. Strong systems and technology capability, and confidence using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with internal teams to support the sales process. Resilience and determination, maintaining momentum, focus and positivity throughout the sales cycle. Drive, competitiveness, motivation, influencing skills, curiosity, a strong growth mindset (if you have existing experience in an office based sales role, even better)! Experience using any CRM systems would be an advantage, as would any previous exhibition space sales experience.
