Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This position is part-time: 10 hours, one day per week. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care in an primary practice setting working with a team of physicians and support staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical procedures, vital taking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
• Accurately measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort.
• Collect and document patient medical histories and information.
• Administer blood draws and injections as directed by physician.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
• Assist in the management of electronic health records (EHR) to ensure accurate patient documentation.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
• Previous experience in an outpatient setting.
• Strong knowledge of vital sign assessment techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly with patients and medical staff.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems is advantageous.
• A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations.
• Licensed to work in Kern County.
