Electrician

Looking to hire part time electrician. must be certified and be able to work in Jennings County and surrounding Counties.

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team, providing essential electrical services across various construction and industrial sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both repair and new construction residential services. the ability to interpret schematics, read blueprints, and work safely with high and low voltage systems. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a wide range of hand and power tools, and contributing to the successful completion of construction and maintenance tasks. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with NEC standards, electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters and ammeters, and possess experience working on construction sites.

Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential setting.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate wiring and system configuration.
• Use hand tools, power tools, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Work with low voltage and high voltage systems safely, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Assist in framing carpentry tasks related to electrical installations where necessary.
• Perform wiring of control panels, lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, and other electrical components.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential electrical hazards or system failures.
• Collaborate with construction teams to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety standards.
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed for compliance and future reference.

Experience

• Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial environments is required.
• Familiarity with construction site procedures and safety regulations is essential.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams is necessary.
• Hands-on knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems is preferred.
• Ability to operate hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, as well as power tools including drills and saws.
• Proficiency with electrical testing instruments like ohmmeters and ammeters is highly desirable.
• Prior experience working on construction sites involving framing carpentry is a plus.
• Knowledge of NEC codes related to electrical installations will be advantageous. This position requires a dedicated professional capable of working independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high safety standards. Candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship across all projects.
