PROJECT ENGINEER

The project engineer will work on projects in the agri-food and pharmaceutical sectors for well-established clients. In collaboration with the group's mechanical, process and electrical engineering teams, their work will consist of project management, financial monitoring, on-site installation monitoring, and participation in start-ups. For certain projects, they will be responsible for selecting components and planningin order to bring them to fruition. In collaboration with the automation group, they will participate in the development of operator interfaces and programming.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Detailed project management in food/pharmaceutical processes.
  • Financial/budget monitoring.
  • Site supervision, contractor monitoring, work progress, technical support, according to candidate's skills.
  • Perform site and/or facilitate surveys.
  • Select and ordering certain equipment (valves, pumps, etc.) and process instruments.
  • Participating in the development of PLC programming and operator interfaces in collaboration with the automation group.
  • Participating in commissioning according to the candidate's skills.
  • Working as part of a team with technicians and engineers on specific projects.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in food engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or other relevant training.
  • Strong knowledge in the food and pharmaceutical processes with 8 to 10 years' experience.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Office suite.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD software.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with team members, technicians and engineers on specific projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Bilingual French and English (Written and Spoken Intermediate level)
  • OIQ member

Level of education : University

Years of experience : 3 to 5 years

Work locations:   Client On-site and remotely from home, choice of 2 offices (Montreal and Chambly)
