This position is crucial for ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately locating and retrieving items from warehouse shelves, preparing them for shipment, and ensuring they are packaged securely to prevent damage during transit. You will utilize handheld scanners to track inventory and update system records. This role requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Inspect picked items for quality and accuracy before packing.
- Pack orders efficiently and securely, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages accurately with shipping information.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and warehouse area.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Meet established productivity and quality standards.
- Handle products with care to avoid damage, following lifting guidelines.
- Support logistics team with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a picker, packer, or in a warehouse environment is beneficial.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with scanning devices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
- Commitment to safety protocols and the use of PPE.
