Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in St. Louis, Missouri. This role is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for managing stock levels, conducting regular audits, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to optimize inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), keen analytical skills, and a commitment to Safety and efficiency. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently while also collaborating with various departments.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by analyzing data and performing searches.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder points, ensuring adequate supply.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Process stock adjustments, receipts, and transfers accurately.
  • Identify and report on slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
  • Collaborate with operations, receiving, and shipping departments to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and warehouse policies, including proper handling of materials and use of PPE.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements to logistics processes.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in inventory control, inventory management, or a related logistics role.
  • Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 40 lbs.
  • Understanding of inventory control principles and logistics best practices.
  • Commitment to maintaining a Safe and organized work environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
